hi, Chad, still can't vote, under voting it says 'you have already voted on this poll'
seb, i find i prefer linux to windows, each os has it's plus and minus points. the best way to find out if you would like it is to give it a go. download one of the many distro of linux that has a 'live cd'. that way you can run it from your cd drive to try without it installing anything or changing anything on your harddrive. you can also install and dual boot between windows and linux.

The best part of owning my macbook is that i can run parallels, and through that i have windows xp installed and the newest fedora core 9.. i can run all three operating systems at the same time.. but i have two computers basically, one a desktop which has a host install of windows xp 64-bit, and i have my macbook running tiger. :D

I actually have several. Two have Windows XP Pro, my laptop is Vista Business. At work I have several hundred XP Pro and Win2K machines, as well as 40 or 50 various flavours of MacOS.
My preference far and away goes to XP Pro. I am liking some features of Vista, but some are rather annoying as well.
Macs are okay, but I would not buy one. My daughter may get one for graduation, as she is going into an art related field. For business, I prefer PCs.
