Hi Folks;
I first came across this little application a couple of years ago - I needed to burn a DVD and didn't want get off my lazy can and dig up my store-bought Roxio burning software :lol: Okay, there's a little more to it then that. My Roxio software interferes with my Media Center computer so installing it is not a good idea. Enter free CD/DVD/Blue Ray burning software... :top:
It's called
Burn4Free and it's a free CD/DVD & Blue Ray disk burning software.
I haven't got a ton of experience with it - all I know is that it's going to become my defacto burning software as of today :top:
Things to know - it's adware supported. This means that when you use it you see advertisements. They are tasteful and not obtrusive so they don't bother me.
When you install it it will try to install two toolbars. You can choose not to and if, like me, you find that one was installed anyway you can easily remove with Add/Remove programs or the standard menu option. I recommend checking after you install it just to be sure - it's no big deal :top:
It appears to be a safe and very effective burning solution - there's a lot I like about it. The program's toolbar has lots of links to other software from the author but that toolbar can be removed by going to the View menu and deselecting Show Web Links toolbar.
I love this little app - it hasn't let me down yet and I've burned everything except a Blue Ray DVD.
Try it yourself and if you don't like it you can always hit Add/Remove Programs because it un-installs cleanly.
You can get it
