We would like people that use askmarvin.ca to feel safe and comfortable while using the site - without having to worry that their email address or other personal information has been spread around the Internet.

During a client's use of the askmarvin.ca site certain information is collected that helps us determine how to serve you better. 

For instance, web server log files are generated & analyzed to determine what geographic region visitors are coming from and what pages they are typically looking at. 

We use this information to help understand our client's needs and to identify areas of the web site that could be better modified to make usage easier for people visiting the site.

This information is from time to time shown to close associates for the purposes of demonstrating traffic trends and the like. The information from the web site log files contains no personal information other than possibly your IP address. Even so, we exercise discretion in who sees these reports and what are done with them.

Clients that use the Discussion Forum are required to register. Registration is done by email validation - as such we must have a correct email address for registration to succeed. As well, when registering, we collect the IP address that was used for the registration. This is done so that we can block people who post offensive messages such as hate messages, pornography and the like. 

This information is kept strictly private. We never release this information for any purpose and it is only visible by askmarvin.ca administrators. This is a necessary step to monitor and control the Discussion Forums so that they are able to be used by all people. 

We don't want offensive posts and would like to foster and maintain an atmosphere where people can feel safe and welcome.
